Just another day in the life of a blessed child

I'm a fool, but I don't mind.

Well, I still love my new job. But after about 26 fairly stressful hours of work within two days, I think the honeymoon period is probably over. But it's my own fault and will teach me for absolutely having to work in journalism. Actually, it won't teach me. Call me a fool, but I'll have the interesting job over the 5.30pm finish any day.

It is awesome that you can enjoy your job. Confucius said, "If you find a job you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

people who enjoy their job wind up with more money in the end usually, and they are healthier too.

hoo. watch out. it's getting very scary out there. be thankful you have a job. don't jump unless you have another place to land. and be thankful you don't work in finance.

Ace- Yeah, I'm glad I love my job, otherwise I wouldn't put up with that much overtime.

Anna-Lys- It looks and sounds absolutely beautiful... I will have a think about it.

Larry- So true. Amen to that.

EM- Really? I have no hesitation in believing the happy part, but more money? I find that hard to believe, somehow. I, for example, am prepared to accept a job for less money if I love it, and I think other people do the same. I could make so much more money in PR than in journalism, but I wouldn't love it half as much.

Sera- Don't you worry, Sera, the thought of jumping wouldn't even cross my mind. I adore my job. And I have been known to get very involved with my work and do long hours occasionally- it's fairly normal for me. But I only do it if I care about what I do.

When you like you job, you usually spend less money on health or psychological problems, and you don't spend as much money on substitute gratification in life, so in the end you have more money, because you save money, not because you salary is bigger. At least all of that is the theory....

I would have thought a two day honeymoon would be grounds for divorce. Then again, my work and I aren't on speaking terms, so I'm not really one to judge.
