nobody can call you a baby girl anymore, after 30, and sound believable. i think, since it's a milestone of sorts, that you'll be doing something special. Something you haven't done before, that you will remember always. it has to be travel... you are going to reykjavik because they party all night. santorini? ohhh, i know! barcelona. narrow streets, late night dinners, outside cafes and a beach! maybe some romance?
First HAPPY BIRTHDAY Now, you might want to get up in the morning and take a walk. If you have a good friend, take him/she along if you are in the mood. That will set some kind of mood for the day.
Then, you will decide if you are going to host the party, or if you will have it somewhere else (or both...:)
I personally would suggest an afternoon together with your friends at your place. No food but good snacks, champaign and other booze. Then go to town somewhere and dance the night away with lots of people. Thereafter have some friend drive you home, securely.
Besides all this - are you Swiss? I know that I am...
Larry was spot on- I'm going to a music festival! Hurray! You're only a newby on my blog and you know me so well already. Respect.
And Sera, you can read me like a book. I did want it to be a milestone, something I will always remember, and I did want it to involve a place I've never been to. Plus music and some craziness. So I'm going to a music festival in Ireland, which is a place I've never been before. Apparently it's one of the best festivals ever. And you can be guaranteed I will party all night.
Mark- Not a bad guess. I will definitely drink some wine at some stage. Although it will probably be more cider and beer.
Mystic- Thank you. Very sweet of you.
Kyknoord- I wasn't thinking that far ahead. I might give them a call now though, you never know. The firemen could be cute.
Zee- Well, you're not that far off either. There will be friends, champagne and other booze for sure, and there will be lots of dancing the night away with lots of people. Only I won't need to be driven home, just drop into my tent.
You're kidding- you're Swiss too? No way! I know that I am...

drinking some wine... or is there a Swiss tradition telling you what you must do if you turn 30 and still are not married?

I won't wish s'güets zm Geburri yet, because it has not yet happened - very bad luck in this culture to wish something early....lol
