Just another day in the life of a blessed child

I have fallen in love. With Glastonbury.

I got back Tuesday night, but I think I only just really recovered now. One of the best, and no doubt one of the craziest weekends of my life. Very little sleep, very, very, very much fun.

I saw twentyfour bands in three days. I saw the sun come up twice in a row. I met a thousand people. I regularly laughed until I was gasping for air. I walked about fivehundred kilometres and danced for hours (in gumboots). I ruled the dancefloor. I ate toasted sandwiches. I hugged my friends. I met superman. I drank lots of cider (and some vodka). I made a fire. I danced in the rain. I burnt my nose. I wore silly hats. I made up stories. I laughed at people (a lot. Because there was so much to laugh about.) I screamed. I got goose bumps. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I had the absolute time of my life. I will be back (that's for sure).

I love music. I love cider. I love sunrises.
I'd even love Superman, if he looked anything like that guy in the red jumper ;)
WHY, oh why, wasn't I there?

Looks like you had an amazing time (which you completely deserved, btw). Now go get some rest :P

Girl on the run- I saw Kate Nash, Vampire Weekend, Cuban Brothers, Sneaky Sound System, The Gossip, We are Scientists, Roisin Murphy, Fat Boy Slim, Kings of Leon, Hilltop Hoods, Crowded House, The Raconteurs, The Wombats, Manu Chao, Band of Horses, MGMT, Massive Attack, Pnau, The Whip, Midnight Juggernauts, Goldfrapp, The Pigeon Detectives, Leonard Cohen, Groove Armada. And there was still so much more I would have liked to see! I'm addicted to music.

Aggs- The weather was the best they have had in a few years! It usually pours down rain for a few days... this time it only rained a little bit on Friday. So lucky!

Imogen- I can see you are a girl of exeptional taste. Yes- why weren't you there? Come with us next year!

It looks like you had a great time. Me, I would have been a grumpy asshat the whole time. I don't do tents, haha.

I love your hat!

Yeah, that guy in the red jumper was VERY nice looking. If that's Superman, he can save me ANY day.

;-)

Glad you had such a good time. It sounds FANTASTIC!

I hate you saw so many bands (I never heard of), I hate you had a good time (without us), I hate it didn't rain (it would have been Wood Stock), I hate that you met Superman (Callie is getting ready to be rescued) but otherwise I'm just glad you had such a great time. Keep on smiling!

I saw a picture of, I think, Tonto. But no pics of Superman. Maybe you don't fancy anyone faster than a speeding train?

I Love your excitement. I can eat off it, it's still so fresh.

Cindy-Lou- I won't ask you then to come camping with me. Because I do do tents. A lot. I love it. I'm a hippie at heart.

Callie- He kind of did save me, actually. He's 6'4'' and took me on his shoulders at the Massive Attack concert. That definitely made him hero of the day.

Mystic- What's with all the hate, my friend? That doesn't sound like you. Maybe you should have come with us then, to share the good times. As long as you could have handled it... because there was no time for sleep!

Blitheroo- Oh you should have seen her! She was going completely insane! She was wet with sweat already after the first song. She was giving it all she had. Good show.

Sera- And I love the fact you drop by at my blog and say nice things to me. Thank you.

Hate is the wrong word to use in this case. If I could rephrase it I would say, I'm sorry we didn't get to enjoy it with you....I am happy that you got to have such a great time. I would have lined up the tents in rows though...How did you ever find yours in that mess?
